Backstory…

Chef Annie Maibaum has been making marmalades and preserves for almost a decade... her recipes usually confined to restaurant menus or passed out as small tokens or gifts to friends and loved ones.

Now the time has come for her to share the love with the greater public.

Our signature spread is a beautiful sweet and savory tomato marmalade that you can serve with cheese, add to a burger, or just simply schmear on toast. We also use a multitude of berries, stone fruit, and citrus!

Seasonality is important in NYC, as ingredients are only available on a certain timeline. This is a considerable factor when we make our product. However, once made, clients are able to enjoy the seasons' best year ‘round!

Philosophy…

We enjoy taking simple and approachable ingredients and blending them in a way that toys with conventional precepts of sweet and savory. Maytree marmalades, preserves, and candied stuff can be enjoyed in a multitude of ways; the only limit being our clients' own preferences, restrictions, and imagination.

Here at Maytree Marmalade, we are so very conscious of food sensitivities, allergies, aversions, and sustainable agriculture. All of our handcrafted edibles are gluten free and all ingredients are hand selected to bring you only the most optimal product attainable.

We strictly use natural sugars and in tandem with the jarring process, we bring preserved food items to your table all year round! What a lovely innovation!
